about my wheel
a space for the parts that matter to you
my wheel of life is an interactive personal reflection tool created by Simon Portbury under Recovery Evolution. It gives you a way to explore what matters to you, record how different parts of life feel, and notice change over time.
what is a wheel of life?
A wheel of life represents different areas of life as parts of a circle. Here, eight starting areas include relationships, physical wellbeing, emotional wellbeing, work, learning, rest, creativity, and meaning and community. You can customise the labels and colours to suit your own life.
my ratings & notes
For each area, rate its importance to you and how it feels today, from 1 to 10. The feeling scale runs from struggling to thriving. You can add optional notes about what you would like to remember. The ratings are your own impressions, rather than a clinical assessment.
my wheels over time
Save dated wheels, revisit them in the calendar, and explore your ratings in line or bar graphs. Compare two saved wheels side by side, together with their attached notes. Download selected wheels, trends, comparisons and notes as an A4 PDF to keep or share.
on my phone or desktop
You can explore a wheel in your browser without an account. Create your space to save wheels and notes to your account and return to them on another device. You can also add my wheel to your phone’s home screen or install it through a supported desktop browser. An internet connection is needed to sign in and save to your account.
a guide for my own reflection
This tool was inspired by resources shared with Simon during his own recovery. It is offered as a space for personal reflection, including for people in the recovery community. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment or emergency support.
