Privacy and your data

My Wheel of Life is operated by Simon Portbury under Recovery Evolution. It is a personal reflection tool. This notice explains how the current service handles the information you choose to add.

What you choose to share

When you create an account, we collect your email address and use Supabase to manage your password and sign-in. We store your chosen name, optional image, life-area labels, colours, ratings, connections, written reflections, saved wheels, save times, timezone information and logged rating changes. We also record your privacy acknowledgement version and time.

Your reflections may contain health or other sensitive information. Names, images and written notes are optional. Please only include information you want stored, and avoid identifying other people unnecessarily. Providing an email and password is necessary to create an account. You can explore the wheel without an account using a browser draft.

Drafts and saved wheels

When you are signed in, changes to your wheel draft save automatically to your account. Choosing Save today’s wheel creates a dated reflection in your history. A draft cache and your sign-in session are also stored in this browser so you can return and recover interrupted changes. Without an account, your draft and saved reflections stay in this browser’s local storage.

Browser storage is not separately encrypted by this app. Someone with access to your unlocked browser could see it. Signing out clears this account’s app draft from this browser. Clear browser draft removes a guest draft. These actions apply to this site in this browser, not every device you have used.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide your wheel, save and restore your reflections, show your history and comparisons, manage your account, and create the downloads you request. Authentication and delivery services handle technical records, such as IP addresses, request times and email delivery information, to operate and protect the service.

The current app has no advertising trackers, session replay or AI analysis of your reflections. Creating a PDF happens in your browser. It does not automatically send your report to anyone. If you choose to download or share a copy, you control where that copy goes.

Where information is handled

Cloudflare hosts the website. Supabase provides account authentication and the database, currently configured in Sydney, Australia. Resend delivers account emails, including confirmation and password reset messages. Email delivery does not need your wheel notes.

These providers operate internationally. Hosting, email, support and security processing may take place outside Australia. A Sydney database does not mean all processing stays in Australia. Provider locations and backup retention arrangements have not yet been fully verified for this service; contact us if you need that information before choosing to store sensitive reflections.

Who can access it

Account access controls restrict ordinary users to their own records. This service does not provide end-to-end encryption. Authorised project administrators and service providers may be able to access stored information when administering, maintaining or supporting the service. If you contact us, please share only the details needed for your enquiry.

Your choices

My account lets you change your name and current image, download your account data, change your password, sign out, and delete your account and data. Removing a current image does not remove image copies already included in saved wheels. Saved reflections from earlier days remain a record of that day. Contact us for a correction or removal you cannot make through the interface.

Written reflections are optional in PDF reports and are excluded by default. You can include them when you choose. Downloaded or shared files may contain sensitive information, so consider their contents before sharing.

Retention and deletion

Your account records remain in the active service until you delete your account or arrange removal with us. There is currently no automatic expiry for inactive accounts. Delete my account and data permanently removes your sign-in account and linked wheel record, including its saved wheels, notes, images and current draft, from the active service. It also clears the app’s draft from the browser where you complete deletion.

Deletion cannot recall copies you have downloaded or shared. Provider backups and security or delivery logs may retain information after deletion under their own retention schedules; immediate erasure from those systems is not promised. Other devices may retain a local draft until they reconnect, sign out or you clear the site’s stored data. You can withdraw your permission to store your reflections by deleting your account, or contact us for help.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when the way the service handles information changes. A material change to how sensitive reflections are used will require a fresh acknowledgement before further collection under that change.
